The Last Weekends In The Land of The Free and Home of The Brave.

Have had a very very tiring weekends. Till now I can still feel the aching muscles and feets. And yet, this is the weekends which I had travel the most in the States.

Saturday itinary:
Irvine -(2 buses)- Laguna Beach -(2 buses + about 2 hours walk) - Fountain valley - (1 bus) - Costa Mesa - (1 bus + almost lost looking for correct bus stop) - Irvine

Sunday itinary:
Palm Spring (1 and half hours drive) - Dinner at Spectrum

Pictures speak louder than words..

~Noon until evening, Fountain Valley, Fry's Electronic

Sorry no picture.

Took 2 buses and walked for 2 hours under the hot sun with temperature up to 90+ degrees Fahrenheit (record high in California) to reached Fry's. But the worst part was running here and there finding the correct bus stop to change bus. And you know what, the last bus service on a saturday is at 5:45pm.

And this is the result.... Dehydrated and burned..

~Evening, Irvine Spectrum

This is the nearest shopping center to my hotel. Been there so many times, but this is the first time I took some pictures.

3rd Week in Irvine California, USA and having fun

This is the 2nd time I visited Universal Studios, Hollywood. The first time was 6 years ago. The different this time is that, I am with friends and colleagues, The last time was with family.

This time round, well, thou I have had fun, it was just like last time, too many things to see and try but too little time. Actually, this time, I actually see less thing. Mostly because we started the day late, and we had to leave early. Well, it was sunday, and all of us need to work the next day.

Only now I truly realised the power of currency rate, and I truly understand how difficult it was then during my last trip. My father must have spend alot then. I feel so guilty. I was so naive then..

Some of the experience:
1. Get soaking wet watching the water world live show.
2. Queue up 35 min for a 2 min "The Mummy Return" ride.
3. Experience earthquake, King Kong attack, Mummy's curse all in one day.
4. Get to see the most famous time machine in the world, the DeLorean.
5. Met spiderman running arround, Van Helsing, Dr. Brown, Spongebob and many more.
6. Have fun seeing all those familiar sight from the movie.
7. Feel the chilling cold wind that will dry your soaking wet clothes from the water world show.

Right... here you are, some of the fantastic pictures I took..

2nd Week in Irvine California, USA and still living

Oh. Say can you see....

It has been 2 weeks here in the USA, and fortunately the works are getting on track. We finally got the task list and schedule. phew.. But unfortunately, the launching date is only another 2 weeks to go. :(

Anyway, the photos are taken from last sunday's (Mothers' day) visit to San Diego. Sadly to say, I wasn't able to be with my mom to celebrate the mothers' day. As what my aunte Bibi says about son who donot spend the day with the mother on mothers' day, he is worthless. Hahaha, well I guess I am worthless. Well perhaps I am worth some value with Kai Lee.. hehe my fiancee.

1st Week in Irvine California, USA

I am on a mission to get more money for the company in Irvine, south California, USA. Ha Ha Ha.. just kidding.. Me and my colleague are working on a project at the client site. Well, I am lucky for being picked for the project.. :D

I received some comment complaining me for not updating my blog frequent enough, so now you know why... :P

South California is a very nice place.. But of all the seasons why must it have to be at the end of spring???!?!?! I hate warm climate... Luckily, it wasn't as warm as what we have in Malaysia... occasionally, the light breeze of fresh "*air" are really cooling. *Depending on the pollusion level and traffic*

Alright.. Here are some of the photos captured during the week.. Too little?? Well, this is only the first week.. There will be more coming in, you bet!

Shhh.... Everyone is asleep. A view of the cabin at "night"

Nobody reads my blog

Found this t-shirt from the internet last week. This is a real but sad relection of my blog.. :P I guess this applies to my photoblog too.. :(

"The addiction to the approval of others may be more life threatening, stress producing, and debilitating than drugs or booze. Choose to accept responsibility to others, but not for their attitudes, opinions or behavior towards you. If they like you, great. If not, it's not your problem."

-- Bill Gove,
1912-2001, father of professional speaking

Ooh, well....... No harm done.

To all blogger who "no one reads their blog",
cheer up mate!

Snail teaching

Remeber the pictures we received in our email.. The one showing the snail crossing a big gap.. Ya!! Thats the one. Very inspiring isn't it.

I was talking to my fiancée about photo story the other day, and I used the snail as an example of making an inspiring music montage. Although it was just conceptual at that time, I had a vivid image of how to make it.

And... Voila, here it is...

I personally like the song very much.. Very meaningful indeed.

Journey to The Land of The Eagles

Beautiful Langkawi

I was in Langkawi, the land of the eagles, with firends last weekends. I must say, the trip was not as fun as what I expected. First of all, in the land of the eagles, I hardly notice any eagles flying in the sky. Well unless you pay of course.. then you get to see the eagles. :P

Where are the eagles?

Ok ok, Langkawi is the name of an angel who transform into an eagle and not really THE land of the eagle. Fine.. my mistake. Anyway, we visited several so called tourist spots, and the impression I got was not so good. Erm.. well, perhaps there is only one place that I think its worth visiting. Thats the Oriental Village, where the langkawi cable car trip that take you to the highest point ( I think) of Langkawi, is.

Kylie feeding a deer in Oriental Village

What about the rest of the attraction?? Hmm.. You deicide when you visit ok. Lets not let me spoiled all the surprises. Besides, fun or not, good or bad is very subjective.

Err... maybe I will just comment on one of the place, that is the "Pantai Pasir Hitam", literally Black Sanded Beach. The beach is not just dirty but it stink as well. What a waste.

Notice the close proximity of the fishing jetty

My friend, Cratze, pointing out the dirty rubbish and sewege water flowing out

Definitely a no go place

I guess the local authority should pay more attention in conserving the natural beauty of the island, instead of just making the island a mere "tax free" island. Sigh... when will these people learn to look at long term benefits..

Anyway, is Langkawi a resort island worth going? You decide.

More pictures coming up soon..
